The meeting focused on hearing from ranchers about what others can do to help them through extreme weather events. The group listened and responded, exploring what is possible.
The group heard from ranchers who spoke to the group about 3 things:
· What’s your experience, how you’ve dealt with extreme weather in the past?
· What do you see happening to you, your operation, your family, if there were more and more extreme weather?
· How can others help during extreme weather events? Besides your current programs, what other kinds of cooperation or assistance is needed?
The group also heard from land owners, lands managers, agency personnel, nonprofit group representatives, etc., who responded to these questions-
· How can YOU (and your organizations) help? What is realistic?
This meeting was a BIG DISCUSSION along with smaller discussions.
