Workshop Goal
Improve participants understanding of the water quality of Elkhorn Slough and opportunities and constraints to improving it.
Overview
Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve (ESNERR) engaged the public in a half-day series of presentations about water quality of Elkhorn Slough.
Scientific experts presented on water quality monitoring programs, long term trends, and impacts of water quality problems on the Slough. Farmers, and technicians working with farmers, presented on opportunities and constraints for improving runoff from agriculture. And, Slough managers spoke about their work to restore and improve water quality. Attendees posed many interesting and insightful questions that the presenterrs answered at the meeting.
