Because of more limited space in the night field training, we require separate checks for April 15 workshop and this field training session. Deadline for payment is March 11, 2008. We cannot refund payments for cancellations made less than 2 weeks in advance of the workshop.** This evening field training session compliments the April 15, 2008 workshop on the California Red-Legged Frog; participants must register (and pay an additional $100 separately) for that workshop in order to attend this field session. See separate web page for more information. This field training session will take place 8 p.m. - midnight at the Granite Rock Sand Quarry, 1800 Coast Road, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Participants will work with one of two instructors- Nina D'Amore or Valentine Hemingway- who will demonstrate capturing, handling, sexing, and measuring of adult frogs and PIT tagging techniques. Participants will gain first hand experience in aquatic survey methodologies at a site with red-legged frogs. Please read the downloadable document "Please read this first" at the bottom of this webpage before attending this session: you will need specific types of equipment to participate.
