Biography:
Gary Kittleson, Principal of KEC, has been conducting natural resource management plans, biological assessments and hydrologic field studies for over 15 years within the streams and wetlands of the Santa Cruz and Santa Lucia Mountains. KEC specializes in project management, design, permitting, and monitoring associated with wetland and riparian restoration projects, flood control maintenance activities and water supply infrastructure. Gary has served as a City Planner with the City of Watsonville, Hydrology Technician and Basin Planner with Monterey County Water Resources Agency, Senior Hydrologist with Balance Hydrologics, Inc. in Berkeley, California and Senior Associate with Swanson Hydrology & Geomorphology in Santa Cruz, California. Since 2000, KEC has maintained long-term, as-needed biology and hydrology consulting contracts with the City of Santa Cruz, County of Santa Cruz, City of Watsonville and the City of Palo Alto, and has completed special studies, resource plans and monitoring efforts for California State Parks, the City of Monterey, private landowners, and regional non-profits.
